Edward Kendrick continues to write great mysteries/dramas, bringing in the component of MM Romance/Love. This novel is the 4th in the Quint and Clay Art Crimes Series. The novels are tied together with their characters and they do nothing but get better. The story line is strong, the characters are well developed. This novel brings in once again Gideon Monahan who is brought in by Dr. Cole Newell, an archeologist. Someone has stolen artifacts in a Native American dig and one artifact has been brought to Cole's gallery for appraisal. Dr. Newell was a part of that dig and has recognized it. Dr. Newell has called in Gideon to help find the thief. They end up getting a couple of the guys involved. In their efforts to do so, the attraction the two men have is unmistakable, but Gideon has a past he doesn't want to bring up and let anyone in. Since the guys are in jail, Gideon feels it is time to go back home (NYC), but he keeps in touch with Quint about the case and about Cole. Eventually he flies back to Denver at Cole's surprise. The two find that maybe what they have will work. Cole is able to knock down the walls that Gideon has put up. This is a great story of mystery, action, and drama that has the makings of a beautiful blossoming relationship. I highly recommend this novel and this series. You won't be disappointed.
